Red Wings GM Ken Holland has announced that former Head Coach Mike Babcock can now be contacted by other teams as he explores where he'd like to coach next season.  Teams like Edmonton, Buffalo, and Toronto can now ask for interviews with Babcock and even sign him.   It has been reported via twitter by Helene St. James that the "Red Wings would get 3rd Round pick over course of next three seasons. Put date of May 25th on letter".  It seems that one of these three teams would be more than willing to make that trade given the greatness of Coach Babcock.  Toronto is probably most likely to make an offer early, with Buffalo and Edmonton still in better position organizationally with Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid soon to join their rosters.  Only time will tell where Babcock lands, but it is very likely that it will not be in Detroit.
